The EQ-i test was launched in 1997 in its first version and introduced in Denmark in 2000. Since the beginning more than 1 million people distributed over 66 countries and 45 different languages have completed the test. Many experiences have been collected during the first 10 years of the test´s existence, and MHS (Multihealth Systems Inc.) was in 2011 ready to launch a strongly revised English version of the EQ-i test. In Denmark the Danish version of the new EQ-i version 2.0 was ready to launch in autumn 2013 in cooperation between Dansk Psykologisk Forlag (Danish Psychological Press) and BRØGGER Erhvervspsykologer (BROEGGER Organizational Psychologists).
EQ-i 2.0 is a measure of the ”softer” competences in e.g. leadership and focuses especially the emotional and social competences.

The test consists of 133 questions measuring your own perception of your ability to handle the demands of both your working life and daily life. EQ-i has 3 levels of analysis, distributed in a 1-5-15 factor structure.

The result is visualized in a graphic representation consisting of a total EQ value, the 5 composite scale and the 15 sub scales.
The Workplace Reports are available in English and Danish. The Leadership Reports only in English.

In the new EQ-i 2.0 certification you also obtain a certification in using the EQ 360. This gives you the opportunity to learn how others, eg. peers, direct reports or managers, judge the EQ-i of the person.
The feedback raters invited are answering exactly the same 133 items as in the EQ-I 2.0.
